Multiple channels of GSM phones = Many SMS per minute?

But I have a question:

Suppose we created 30 different channels on the server (with 30 GSM Phones ) Then SMS Messaging Server can send an average of 300 SMS per minute?

1 .- IS IT POSSIBLE?

2 .- How many GSM Phones channels ought to be able to send 300 SMS per minute?.-

Hi,

Thank you for your post. The average throughput of a GSM modem is 10 messages per minute. So i n this case you need 30 GSM modems. If you are also going to receive SMS messages or receive SMS delivery reports you need more modems. In this case the best is to use a HTTP or SMPP provider because they offer a much higher throughput.
