The most effective way is to keep the Message Database small, i.e. to keep a maximum of 50.000-100.000 messages. You can control the size of the message database by specifying a short Archive Period value. To do so, select 'Options' from the Manager, enable 'Archiving' and set a short Archive Period frequency (for instance: 3 days).
